By Eula Clarke

Sometimes, we did not notice that we already abused our gadgets and the first damage that we usually notice is its battery. Because we have damaged it, maybe it would be hard for us to look for a new one and maybe it would lead us buying a new gadget. Thus, this process will not only fuss us but it also costs us a big sum of money as it becomes a necessity.

One of those gadgets may be our laptop. We all know that its battery is one of the most hard to find batteries in the market especially if we got a very unique unit and brand. Without it, our laptop has no heart and here are some tips that you can use in taking care of it.

Always remove the charger if the battery is already full. Unattended fully charged batteries could overheat it materials leading to a shorter lifespan. This is why you should never sleep when you are charging something because this may also be the cause of house fire incidents.

Only charge your batteries when you need to. Do not always plug and unplug as long as you want because it only has a limited hours of charging. If you exceed from that number of hours, you will again damage the materials inside the storage cell and unable to prolong its life.

Every laptop has its power storage plans. If you use it, you can run your laptop in its peak performance. If you are using a Windows program, you may choose the Balance option or the Power Saver option to minimize the energy usage. Both of the options help the computer decrease the brightness and or the speed when you use it.

It is best if you will put the device on top of any hard surfaces like tables, floor, or chairs. If you put it on a cushioned surface like pillows, sofa, or bed it could overheat because the air could not circulate properly. This must be applied every time you will use your device.

There are times we could feel inactive in a day but we still need to work and with this, we may be too tired to shut down our computer. If this is the case, we can always put it in a sleep mode for minimal energy usage. You could also hibernate it so that it could rest as you are resting.

The ideal place to store your device is relatively in cool area. The temperature could influence the battery and if you put it in a heavily heated place, it can be overheated. You can put it in your cupboard or closet where other family members usually sit and turn on the electric fan or the air conditioning.

Start following the tips now for you to keep the life of your battery longer. If you still want to use your laptop without wires at all times, take good care of its battery. If you do it, you will no longer have to look for its hard to find battery and, worse, buy a new laptop.
