3 Bases For A Five Minute Church

By Della Monroe

Most people visit religious institutions on a regular basis in order to create a spiritual connection with God. However, this is not always feasible for one reason or another for many individuals. The following is a look at a few of the reasons why a five minute church might be of interests to those who need something that is different from the normal way of doing things.

Many people are not part of a religious organization but have an interest in spiritual things. One might have a problem with the way a minister handles certain issues or they may not agree with the doctrines that a member supposed to believe in if they are to be a part of the group. They might have been part of a family that was not very religious and did not attend services on a regular basis or not at all.

Also, they might not have grown up in a religious family, which can also cause one to feel out of place in this type of setting. There are individuals who are willing to learn all they can and modify their lives accordingly. However, this is not true for everyone which means that an alternative form of service is needed for spiritual growth.

There are also cases where a person might be living in a place that is quite isolated. There may not be a place where they can go and fellowship with others or there are no groups nearby for them to visit. So even though they want to maintain certain traditions they have been taught, they are not able to due to the situation they are in.

In this case, they might try to find a community online where they are able to communicate about their beliefs. They might also find a way to have their own quiet moments where they can reflect on spiritual matters. In any case, they can create an atmosphere wherever they are that can feed their soul even if is only for a few moments.

What is even more common in this era, is the growing number of individuals who do not see faith as being tied to a group of people or an organization that decides what others should believe. They take the time to figure out what is true to them and how they feel about what is taking place in the world. If they were part of a group, they leave because they want the chance to grow.

So they do not have to worry about having to go to a meeting early in the morning. They do not have to impress anyone and things can progress at their own pace instead of trying to please others. They can keep things simple so that they are able to focus their energy on being true to themselves.

These are just a few of the reasons why a person might decide to find an alternative to a regular religious service. Some might make a decision to find their own way when it comes to their faith. They might also decide to create a system that is more in tune with their needs and not what is trendy or acceptable to society.
